STABLE
RELEASE
|
This
is the core product and is needed prior to any BETA's,
Verion Releases or Patch Releases. The latest stable
contains the most stable version of NOCWizard.
|
|
|
VERSION
RELEASE
|
Version
releases contain new features and bug fixes. In order
to upgrade to the latest release, download the latest STABLE FIRST
and install that, if you have that installed then download
the latest VERSION release and install it. If
there is an R and an S of the same version, then the
R is an upgrade for clients using an older version.

|
PATCH
RELEASE
|
Patch's
contain only bug fixes, not the entire product. All you
need is the latest patch in order to update THAT version.
Patches ONLY work for the version that's listed. If multiple
Patches are available, you will need to install them
seperately and individually. If V2.6.4c is listed then
you'll need to install V2.6.4a and V2.6.4b first. In
general only one patch release will be listed if any.

|
BETA
RELEASE
|
Beta's
and Release Candidates (RC's) have the potential for
bugs. Download and use them at your own risk. If in doubt,
download and patch the latest stable release.

VERSION INFORMATION
NOCWizard is setup in the following format:
MAJOR.STABLE.RELEASE(PATCH)
As an example, 2.6.2b
would indicate MAJOR 2, STABLE 6, RELEASE 2, PATCH B. This
would be refered to as 2.6 by our
sales and support staff.
MAJOR RELEASE -> This
indicates a major change in the way the program operates or
in the number
of features
added. As an example, in the 1.5 years of development we are
currently on MAJOR 2 with MAJOR 3 finished around OCTOBER 1st
2004.
STABLE -> Indicats
the latest stable version. Usually several new features or
update
ones and bug fixes can
be expected.
RELEASE -> This
is the most common version. This indicates a few feature additions
with
bug fixes
PATCH -> These
are ONLY bug fixes and are rare.
