What
is NOCWizard?
NOC Wizard is a complex management system targeted at people who
have multiple servers or who do dedicated server rentals/leases. Why is NOCWizard so
expensive?
Believe it or not, several of my clients tell me that for what
it does it's way underpriced. As an example it does billing (lets
compare it to say Modernbill™) so lets add $500 for an
owned license, support (again lets compare it to say Kayako™)
so lets throw in another $350. So that's just 2 products and
your total is up to $850. Now lets add the things that aren't
included with those 2 products such as server bandwidth billing,
bandwidth DOS protection monitoring, server monitoring, server
management, IP management, Control Panel management and maybe
you can see why NOCWizard has the pricing that it does. All
of this is in ONE product with ONE login. The listing above is
just a small list of what NOCWizard can do for you.
In general, I want an
owned license, why do you have it listed as contact us?
NOCWizard does a lot for your company, we put a lot of hard work
into it's development and we keep updates coming out fairly regularly.
The reason that the pricing for an owned license isn't set is
because we work out a special price based on the size of your
facility. If you have less than 400 server, client and devices,
than an owned license isn't going to be cost effective for you.
Ok, so I don't need
an owned license, what do you suggest?
The per license, which is a total of servers, clients and devices,
is ideal for facilities less than a total of 400 of the above
combined. This IS an owned license, it's just limited to a set
number of items that can be stored. Furthermore, as you grow
you can add additional licenses for a small fee.
Do I have to be a NOC or Data center to be
able to use NOC Wizard?
No. The current design is for someone with multiple servers, say 2 or more.
These can be collocated or dedicated. While it's designed for multiple servers,
it's also powerful enough to handle most larger scale NOC's and Data centers.
It's current design allows for up to 1,000,000,000 servers, clients and devices.
Is NOC Wizard a Control Panel?
NO. It's a management tool. It doesn't actually control or setup anything on
a clients server.
Does NOC Wizard do billing?
Sure does. You can create packages, invoices, credits and more.
Does NOC Wizard have a help desk?
Sure does. In fact, you will find that the help desk included is very powerful.
The nice thing about having client, server and IP management all in one package
is that you can build an extremely powerful helpdesk. When you open a ticket,
you simply click the user's name and a new window opens with that clients
information, or click the server name and a different window opens with all
the server information. No more hunting to figure out which server the client
is talking about, or what the root password is.
Does it do bandwidth monitoring?
Yes, NOCWizard includes RTG (similar to MRTG) bandwidth monitoring.
Does it do Bandwidth Overage Billing?
Yes and its customizable per machine. You can bill using
95th% or Average with MBPS, KBPS or even GB's.
I have a NOC and would like to offer this
to my clients, do you offer any kind of reseller or discount
program?
Anything is possible. Just contact our sales staff at sales@nocwizard.com and
I'm sure we can work something out. |
